Christmas Tree Card

Hey everyone! Can you believe it's November already? Christmas and holiday festivities are just around the corner. I know all you crafty-crafters out there are getting busy. I know I am, I've got cards, half completed projects, scraps, and glitter everywhere, lol.
Here's a card I did using Tree Trimming Trio. The color combo of Scarlet Jewel, Smokey Shadow, Silver, and White was inspired by a Christmas tree I saw recently. Isn't it an elegant, lovely color combination?  I want my entire house decorated in those colors. (Speaking of my house, my friend Maria thinks I don't have enough color going on, while my other friend Cynthia thinks I have a lot of brown going on.  Decorating the house is not one of my talents. That's why I stick to cardmaking. I can manage 4.25" x 5.5" of space.) The tree is heat embossed with silver E.P. and the frame is hand drawn with my white Signo pen. I then outlined the tree with my Atyou Spica pen for a subtle twinkly effect (which you can't tell from this photo!). Added buttons and ribbon for some color. Then fiddled with that stupid bow for an insane amount of time before I called it quits.

While I had all my supplies out, I made quite a few of these to hand out for Christmas this year (so if you receive one of these from me, act surprised and impressed). Im still trying to figure out the perfect card to make for mailing out to friends and family. Im having trouble making a nice card with minimal layers and no bulky embellishments. Oh well, I think Im gonna have to CASE (copy and share everything) a few card designs. ;oP

Thank you for stopping by to visit. I appreciate all your comments!
