Pallenge #8 - Summer-themed Card

Diane from the Papertrey Pals asked us to make a summer-themed card or a card using bright summery colors. The only thing I could think of was a beachy type of scene and don't you know I don't have any stamps like that? So I decided to go with the bright-summery colors instead. :P
I made a set of these cards as gifts for my neighbors who are moving out. I thought they could use these to let everyone know their new address. The images are from Becky's Wonderfully Whimisical and this is my first attempt at  coloring with Copics. I only have two sets of Copics: Melon Berry trio and the Ripe Avocado trio but I AM IN LOVE!! Now I want them ALL, lol!  They were so easy to color and the colors are just so vibrant. Im not sure how to do the shading/blending thing yet but I'll keep practicing.  This is the brightest card I've ever made. I tend to use more earthy colors so this was really a challenge for me.

My neighbors are only moving 10 minutes away but I am really sad to see them go.  My kids LOVE them! They are forever knocking on their door or ambushing them when they leave their house. And my neighbors are so sweet about it, patiently listening to each and every story or putting yet another drawing from Teia on their fridge. And is it terrible to say that I think Im going to miss their dog even more? They got King when he was just a puppy and he's been like a second doggy son to me. It's heart-wrenching to know that he's not gonna be looking out the window at me with his sad puppy eyes begging me to let him out. Sigh.
This is King (the black cocker spaniel) and Apollo (my dog, he's a long-haired Chihuahua) playing with a stuffed animal toy.
