Lots of different stamp sets used for this card! The background paper was stamped with PTI's Harvest Berries and Perfect Pearls (hard to tell from the picture but the PP gives it a nice subtle sheen). The scroll-y corner image and sentiment panel is an old CTMH set (sorry I don't know the name) and heat-embossed in gold. Sentiment is from WMS Asian Garden Additions.
Here's a close-up of Mei Li. I colored her with copics and heat embossed the tiny leaf images from PTI's Peaceful Garden onto the shirt. I then added gold Brilliance ink to the shirt and lantern. It's hard to tell, but I added lots of shine and glitter with my spica pens and the gold Brilliance ink.
The color combo of green and gold was inspired by a picture I bought at a local craft fair years ago. The artist is Michelle Yamaguma who does washi paper art. I hope to collect more of her work someday.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

ReplyDeleteReally cute card, Nadine. Thanks for sharing your card, the Sister Stamp link and the link to Michelle Yamaguma. The Sister Stamps are so cute. I have one of Michelle Yamaguma's art work that we received as a housewarming a few years back. I checked her events calendar and she is going to be in town on Sept 24th at a craft fair. I'll be there stalking her work.
ReplyDeleteit's beautiful, always great to support local businesses with our crafty purchases, otherwise it would all be online shopping, where's the fun in that, I love to browse, although browsing gets me into trouble sometimes, LOL.
