The Sugar Bowl - Challenge #55

I have another card to show you, Im on a roll!  I've finally figured out how to keep up with challenges. I've made a list of challenge blogs on the sidebar (to the right) that's updated automatically whenever a new post comes up. When I want to create a card, I just take a look at the blogs for sketch, color, and theme ideas which makes it easy to put the card together. What's even better is that I have a lot of images already colored, so assembling the card is quick (well quick for me…).

Today's card is for the Sugar Bowl - Challenge #55. We were to use a Sugar Nellie image and the sketch provided.
This image was actually a boo-boo.  I was coloring the dress when I messed up on the shading. I decided to hold on to it and Im so glad I did! I just covered up the boo-boo by paper-piecing over it. Patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye the So Sophie collection. The ribbon is actually an orangy-brown color (PTI's Terracotta Tile) and not red as the photo makes it look. The white scrolls along the bottom strip of brown cs, is a rub-on from SU! Rub-ons are da bomb! They can add a pop of color without adding bulk and they can be placed anywhere. Actually, I wish someone would give me a rub-on (wink-wink)...

Thanks everyone for stopping by!
