Make it Monday #6 Challenge

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great weekend so far. Did anyone see the "Supermoon" last night? It's been dubbed the supermoon because it's closest to Earth than it has been in over 18 years, so it appears larger than normal. The kids and I watched it rising over the treetops and were amazed at how close it seemed. Made me think of all kind of lunar activities I should be doing (grin!).

Here's the card I made to enter PTI's Make It Monday challenge. We were to partially impress/emboss on our card so I decided to leave the middle of the panel bare to highlight the strip of patterned paper from SEI's Moonrise collection which inspired me to go with this color combo.

Im also entering A Passion for Papertrey's challenge "Piece out, man!" to use paper piecing in your project which I did on the teapot's lid and body. The bottom layer is stamped with Brilliance's Gold Galaxy. I then made sure to sponge the edges of the the paper pieces so it would blend in seamlessly.

And finally, this card is being entered into Card Patterns Sketch #107. It was Vanessa Menhorn's birthday yesterday so a Happy belated Birthday to you all the way from Hawaii!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to take a moonlit walk tonight with your loved ones!
