Here's another sympathy card that I will be sending to Dr. Okazaki.
I began by embossing the card with my cuttlebug folder Birds and Swirls. I then used the Mat Stack 3 die to cut out a 'window.' I stamped the images from Life on linen vellum cardstock and then flipped it over and heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder. I wanted to create a window 'pane' so I attached two brads and connected them with twine. The vellum cardstock is glued down to the inside of the card and then covered with another piece of paper to hide the adhesive and the brads. Again, I wanted to keep the cards fairly flat as these would be mailed out by the doctor's office.
Thank you to everyone for stopping by and leaving me such kind, encouraging comments. They are very much appreciated and deeply felt.

Nadine, this is just stunning. Unfortunately, I have to make a sympathy card today. I'm going to steal your "window" idea with a different die since I don't have Mat Stack 3.....but, I'm sure it will serve the same purpose. Thanks for sharing this wonderful card and giving me some direction with the card I have to make.
