Chicago - Random Images

MORE Chicago pictures (I did tell you we took over 500 pics, right?) Here are some random shots we took throughout our trip.

Isn't this sign hilarious? Of course, I NEVER leave my kids unattended in a store.

This little sign was at the cash register of The Fudge Pot.

Old Town in Chicago is a very dog-friendly neighborhood. I don't know how many water bowls I saw outside the various businesses. Apollo would fit right in at this neighborhood. Too bad we won't be visiting any time soon. {Sigh}

Look at this Great Dane. He's only 10 months old. What  a big puppy! I think Apollo is the size of his head. Ok well if his head was a little fatter then Apollo would be the exact same size!
We came across this statue on the sidewalk of downtown Chicago. Doesn't it speak volumes?
Chicago is recycling old refrigerators into sidewalk art. This is one of the more avant-garde "green" projects we came across.
We caught this guy sleeping at the bar of the Blues club. His friend helped us to get this shot.
Funny story. Our first day in Chicago we kept hearing how Transformers 3 was in town filming at various locations.  We kept expecting to see Shia LaBeouf or at the very least Optimus Prime. But alas, they finished filming the week BEFORE we got there.

The view from the back of our cab. OH.MY.GARSH the taxi drivers are CRA-ZEEEE!! But it was alot of fun talking to them and finding out where they were from.

Thanks for taking the time to come by and relive the trip with me!

  1. Oh my gosh, these are so funny, Nadine! It is so fun to see Chicago through your eyes! :) I haven't been to Chicago, but want to now. I was especially cracking up about the first sign. The more you think about it, the funnier it gets! LOL, thanks for the laughs this afternoon and so glad you had such an awesome time!!

  3. Nice shots! I visited Chicago 2 years ago, but it was for work (so, no interesting pics). I really enjoyed looking at your shots and reading the commentary. Very funny. TFS!
