Edited to add: Melissa asked what type of adhesive I used on this project. I used lots & lots of Scor-Tape. I've found it to be the best out there when I want to make sure it stays stuck. I also applied a thin layer of modge-podge over the entire book for extra durability. HTH!
Were you like me and bought a bunch of composition books at the Back to School sales? Well now that I've got a pile of them, I've decided it's time to actually put that huge stash of patterned paper to good use.
The patterned papers are from Basic Grey: Lilykate and Imaginisce: To Love & Cherish. Aren't they gorgeous? Here's a close up:
I stamped the sentiment "Celebrate Life" onto the Fillable Frames #4 die cut. I made sure to adhere a really long piece of True Black Saddle Stitch ribbon so that the book can stay closed when it's all filled up with memorabilia. Here's what it looks like with the ribbon un-tied:
I absolutely love the way this turned out! I kept thinking how happy it would make someone to receive this.

Yup, my daughter Teia's been at work here! And of course I didn't notice until after I finished. So no. Nobody will be getting this one. This will be just for me. For writing down memories of Teia and how she gotta hold of my highlighters.

Love the colors and ribbon tie - never saw a compbook w/ a ribbon closure; clever! And, yes, love the 2/$1 compbook sales around town. Had to smile at Teia's artwork. Sadly, sometimes keiki add their artwork to our public library books. sigh.
