Nichole has a video tutorial on how to emboss resist and I couldn't resist using my new Distress Inks with this technique. For some reason this picture makes the card look very shiny but IRL it has a very shabby distressed feel to it. I need to brush up on my photo-editing skills…
I began by stamping my Rustic Cream cardstock with the Text-Style stamp using Tea Dye and Vintage Photo distress inks. I then stamped the leafy image from Life with Versamark several times across. I used white embossing powder to make the image pop.

To create the shaded background I sponged Terracotta Tile, Orange Zest, and Summer Sunrise across the entire panel, wiping with a paper towel over the embossed area. I also sponged the background cs of Summer Sunrise with the distress inks to tone down the color.
And wah-lah! An embossed, resisted, distressed card that I likey-likey very much! Thanks for stopping by and having a look. :o)
