Here's the card I created for Becky's Compose a Card Challenge.
I embossed the top panel with the Cuttlebug folder Fleur de lis and brayered black ink over the raised images. The bottom portion was created by using the emboss resist technique. I heat embossed the leaf image from PTI's Turning a New Leaf and sponged black ink over it. I then went over it with a tissue to wipe the ink away from the image. I punched the side of my cardstock base with my new Fiskars Upper Crest border punch. I scored it this weekend at my LSS, I've been looking for it everywhere!
I really loved the color combo this week. Nice & easy! ;o)
All supplies are PTI unless otherwise noted. Thanks for looking!

ReplyDeleteJust got back from Maui on Sunday -- had a great time & saw lots of whales. I noticed that Island Paperie moved to a better location by the Costco. I didn't go in b/c I haven't used all my island related stuff that I bought there 2 yrs ago. Too bad I didn't go to Oahu, would have been fun to meet a fellow caPTIve.
Wonderful card Nadine! Love the brayered embossing and the emboss resist. Way to go! Punching the side of the card adds such nice detail.

ReplyDeleteI forgot the name of the store but it's located at the Mililani Town Center near the movie theater. It just opened in November and she sells Copics! And lots of other good stuff…different than what you can get at Ben Franklin. I didn't have a lot of time to shop cuz I was out with the girls but I wanna go back!
