In addition to making a birthday card, Nichole asked that you take a picture of yourself holding the card. (Why Nichole, why? How could you do this to me?!?! I don't know about other folks, but I need lots and lots of prep time to take a picture that actually makes me look good! See how much I love PTI? No stylist, no makeup artist, no professional photo-editing person but I took it anyway. Nevermind that I can now get an extra entry into the drawing and a chance to be in the slideshow...)
I hate taking pics of myself, especially when I have the tired mommy look going on. So I put a hat on (to save me from having to fix my hair) and applied a filter from an app (to disguise the fact I have no make up on). This is taken in my backyard and who knows what my neighbors think of me. After numerous attempts at taking a selfie (umm, FAIL!), I finally got my son to come out and take the picture. He was rolling his eyes and huffing the whole time. See that smile on my face? It's not for him, it's for all you folks out there. :)
Im also submitting this card to Seize the Birthday: Chevron and Birthday challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!

Ha! I totally know what you mean about taking the picture. What I did to get an extra entry for the contest. I took my hair out of my ponytail and gave it a shake and then swallowed my pride and asked DD to take a pic of me. And you look beautiful as ever!
ReplyDeleteI really like your card. I have that HAPPY die and always forget to use it. You've inspired me to pull it out for today's challenge. Thanks!
What a cute card with the "happy" and the chevron "7". You look great, Nadine. I can imagine your teenage son being asked to take a pic of mom - funny. Kids! I'm so glad you are blogging your cards. I've missed your cards. They are always so well thought out and executed.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - both the card and the pic! :) I am just like you - do NOT like photos of myself. I got around it in a sneaky way ...
ReplyDeleteGlad that your daughter is doing better ...
