PTI 7th Anniversary - Birthday Card Challenge

Hi everyone! I didn't think I was going to be able to make it today for PTI's 7th Anniversary Birthday Card Challenge.  I've been up most of the night with my daughter who had a really bad episode with her asthma. We ended up in the ER this morning but she's doing fine now. I should have taken a nap this afternoon but got crafty instead.

In addition to making a birthday card, Nichole asked that you take a picture of yourself holding the card. (Why Nichole, why? How could you do this to me?!?! I don't know about other folks, but I need lots and lots of prep time to take a picture that actually makes me look good! See how much I love PTI? No stylist, no makeup artist, no professional photo-editing person but I took it anyway. Nevermind that I can now get an extra entry into the drawing and a chance to be in the slideshow...)

I hate taking pics of myself, especially when I have the tired mommy look going on. So I put a hat on (to save me from having to fix my hair) and applied a filter from an app (to disguise the fact I have no make up on). This is taken in my backyard and who knows what my neighbors think of me. After numerous attempts at taking a selfie (umm, FAIL!), I finally got my son to come out and take the picture. He was rolling his eyes and huffing the whole time. See that smile on my face? It's not for him, it's for all you folks out there. :)
