Mother's Day Cards

Hello again blogland, looonnnggg time no see! It's been months and months since I've last updated but I've had a lot going on. The major one being that I've moved. Not off island but from one house to another. Now that the kids and I are settled in,  I've started crafting again. So I have a couple of cards to share with you!

My first card uses PTI's Pretty Peonies stamp set and a SU! embossing folder. I added some copic coloring to the flower to give it some shading and popped it up with dimensionals. I chose a Rustic Cream cardbase for a vintage-y feel.

My next card is actually a photo card. A wallet size photo can be inserted into the top. This picture is my mom and I from waaaaayyyy back. She's rockin' the Farah Fawcett haircut! The flowers are Memory Box's Chloe die, embossing folder is Lifestyle Crafts Whimsy, and sentiment is from PTI's Fillable Frames #4.

I thought I'd show what this card looks like without a picture inside. The opening for the picture was made by glueing only three sides of the gray cardstock. A wallet-size (2.5" x 3.5") picture slides in at the top but you can really make it any size you want.

Well that's it for today. Thank you for stopping by!

  9. Nadine,

Glad you're settled in after your move - I'd been concerned about you. The cards are beautiful. I especially love the first one, and I'm not usually a big fan of purple.
