Christmas Cheek

How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Where Im at, it's very gusty and windy. It's bit cold too and I've actually had to put some socks and a sweater on. Brrrr!!

The card Im showing you today was done on request by my friends' MIL, Rita. She wanted a xmas card with an elf mooning so she could send out 'You've been elf-ed!' type of cards. So this is what I came up:

The image is from Dude Time Doodles (a digital stamp) and colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I printed the sentiment myself, "Spreading a little Christmas cheek!" and layered it on a strip of dark cardstock. I wanted to keep the card flat and easily mail-able so I didn't add any bulky embellishments. Just some red stickles on the hat and shoes.

She asked for 12 of them and after awhile coloring all those butts was a PITA (ha-ha). But in exchange for the cards, she made me a padded case for my iPad2 with a zipper pocket.

How awesome is that? Sooooo worth it as I cannot sew AT ALL!! Here's a couple of tutorials online if you want to make your own (or get someone else to make it for you!):
