Happy Birthday Treslyn!

My friend Treslyn turned 29 (ahem!) last week and tonight we'll be taking her out to dinner to celebrate her birthday.  Girls night out, woohoo!

For her card, I decided to use this Orchid image from Flourishes which I colored using my Prismacolor pencils and baby oil. I also used my Spica glitter pen to add some subtle sparkle to the flowers.

It's a tri-fold card and I die-cut the opening with a Labels 9 Nestie. I think next time I'll use the smaller sized Nestie as this was just a shade too large. It cut too close to the top edge and kept wanting to bend right there. My OCD was really bothered but I finally said to heck with it and let it alone.

I then cut out the orchid image and adhered to the front to give it a 3D look.

And here's what it looks like opened up:

Anyone you know turning 29 again?

Im entering this card into the following challenges:

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #150: Create a tri-fold card
Outlawz Twisted Thursday: Punches and diecuts; use only 50% alcohol ink on your main image
Top Tip Tuesday Challenge #67 - Anything Goes. One tip I'd like to share is to use a bit of Scor-Tape when adhering ribbon to card. It keeps the ribbon nice and tight when you're tying the bow.
