Memo Board

Thought I would show you folks the memo board I just completed. I first made one at my LSS's make-n-take (thank you Scrapbook Clubhouse!) and now I can't stop. They are super simple to make and I've included directions at the bottom of this post.

The patterned paper is Best Creations Oriental paper. Stamps are from WMS Asian Gardens and Additions.

And this little cutie is from Sister Stamps-Miyono. It was a birthday present from my friend Maria along with a few more I've yet to get inky!

I decided to use the memo board to display my quote-of-the-day. "Having one child makes you a parent. Having two makes you a referee." I made Jacob read it.  ;o)

Here are directions to make your very own:
Supplies needed -
Thick chipboard (I bought my chipboard from my LSS. It was 12x12 and cost about $0.55. They had them in white, kraft, and black.  I used the black for this memo board. )
1 sheet of Patterned Paper
1 sheet of Acetate or Clear Cardstock (I used PTI's clear cardstock which comes in a 8.5x11 size)
Ribbon
Eyelets
Cropadile

1. Cut your chipboard down to size. (Mine is 6" x 11")
2. Cut paper a bit smaller so you have a border. (Mine is cut 5.5" x 10.5")
3. Stamp and decorate
4. Adhere to chipboard.
5. Cut clear sheet down to size. (Mine is 6" x 11")
6. Align clear sheet and chipboard and attach eyelets towards the top. (I used my cropadile to punch thru the chipboard and attach the eyelet.)
7. Run a lenth of ribbon through the eyelets and tie off in the back. Now you can hang your board up!

Thanks for stopping by and if you decide to make one I'd love to see it! Just leave a link in the comments. Click here to see one I made as part of a gift set.
