Delightful Doilies

Ok I finally took a break from scrappin' and decided to do some cards instead. I thought it was high time that I got my new stamp set Delightful Doilies inky before I purchased any new ones coming out tonight from Papertrey. NOW I can shop with a clear conscience. ;o)

I decided to CASE the card that made me buy the stamp set in the first place.  This one from the very talented Erin Lincoln in Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides.

And since I had all the supplies out, I did another card in Melon Berry and Berry Sorbet. I prefer Erin's version in blue better. I think the colors are more striking and grabs your attention.

I love the doilies but  have to admit that after many, many tries I still cannot get the largest doily size to line up properly. I think Im doing alright until I get to the very last one and it's way off. Sigh. I think Im going to have to do some creative off-centering where the closure should be.  Anyone else have this set who can give me some pointers?

Well tonight is release night at Papertrey and I just want to say happy shopping to all the die-hard PTI fans out there!! Hope everyone gets what they want. : )

  3. YUMMY!!!
I'm going to have to CASE your CASE!
I had forgotten about the colored doilies, and to be honest, I don't know which of these I love more!
I normally prefer blue, but yours just ROCKS!

  5. Love them both. Erin's card helped push me over the edge to buy that set too. I have not been able to stamp the big one on it's own either but when I use the die cut it works though.

  7. Gawjus! What a great CASE. Dare I say better than the CASED. Nice. I love your use of colors and that you colored in the doilies. Very inspiring indeed! Thanks so much for that.

  8. I keep going back and forth on this stamp set for the same reason--Erin's card! Great CASE of it, and I like the Melon Berry/Berry Sorbet combo too! (And how you used silver ribbon on the first and gold on the second!)

  9. Great job on the cards, Nadine! I had that set in my cart for this release and had to "put it back" to get one of the newer sets. {sigh} Maybe one of these days it'll make it all the way until checkout! By the way, your digital scrapbook pages are amazing. I scrolled down through the first page of your blog and loved every single one of them!
