So cute! Thanks for the link to the tutorial. Where do you take your photos? Everything is so greeeeen!
The pictures are taken on my lanai because my backyard is the golf course (that's why it's so green!).
To set up my 'photo shoot,' I use my Scor-Pal (for a flat, stable surface) covered with a 12x12 sheet of white paper. This is all laid out on the railing of my porch.
I then squat down until I am eye level with the card:
…and take the shot. I have a Canon SD1000, just a regular point and shoot type of camera. The settings are always on Portrait, Macro, no flash.
After I upload the pictures into my Mac computer, I crop, enhance, and make adjustments to the Exposure, Contrast, and Shadow levels (using iPhoto). I try and take the pictures either early morning or late afternoon. The sun is just coming up or going down and the lighting isn't so harsh.
Hope this gives you a better idea of how and where I take my pictures. If you get a chance, take a browse thru Donna's blog. This is my favorite card and here's a recipe for Pumpkin Mochi. Thanks for sharing the recipe Donna, Im definitely gonna give it a try!!
Hi Nadine! Thanks for the great explanation--no wonder your background is gorgeous! You're so lucky to live near a golf course. I thought it was an artificial backdrop!
ReplyDeleteHope to bump into you one day--maybe at Long's? Thanks for the shout out to my blog and I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!
I'm going to pretend to not be jealous! What a beautiful view you have and a great setting for picture taking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view! I'd always kinda wondered where you were taking those pics. Your backgrounds always looked like paradise. And it turns out you really do live in paradise! :) You're so lucky that you get to look at that every day. It makes a perfect backdrop for your work too!
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to kill me with that shot of the golf course? Oh to be back home in Hawaii right now. Winter is on its way and I'm dreading it.
ReplyDeleteOff to go check out the pumpkin mochi recipe:)
