PTI June Blog Hop - Ripe Avocado, Ocean Tides, Smokey Shadow

For this month's PTI blog hop I decided to use a masculine color combo. The colors I chose were Ripe Avocado, Ocean Tides, and Smokey Shadow. These are my definite go-to colors when doing a guy card. The car is colored using the Ocean Tides Copic trio. I got a little heavy-handed with the darker colors but IRL you can tell it should be Ocean Tide, lol!!
I made this card for my son, Jacob, who graduated from elementary school and will be going to middle school. He has an almost perfect attendance record during his entire elementary school education. Yup that's Kindergarten thru 5th grade! When he started Kindergarten we made a goal that we would try to keep a perfect attendance record for the year. We renewed that goal every year and he was able to achieve it except during 3rd grade (the year his father passed away). I am so incredibly proud of him! I felt kind of teary during the graduation ceremony and wanted to hold on tight to my little boy. But he's not my little baby anymore and will now be going on to middle school. When I look back on how well he's done taking care of himself and his little sister I know that we'll make it through whatever comes next in this life.

Supplies used -
Stamps: Enjoy the Ride
Ink: True Black, Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy
Paper: CS - Smokey Shadow, Kraft, Select White; PP - Black & White Basics, Bitty Box
Other Stuff: Copics Ocean Tides Trio (BG72, BG75, BG78) and T1, Rhinestones, Circle Nesties
