Masculine Gift Card Holder

Today I made a gift card holder for my son's baseball coach.  I don't know about you but I struggle with making masculine cards.  It just goes against nature not to add a bow or flower somewhere, lol!

So this is what I came up.  The gift card is attached to a tag that pulls out of the card (see pic below).  The front panel is covered in patterned paper and stamped in black with the pennant and sentiment from All Stars Team.  The "thank you" is from Comminque Curves Sentiments (Alli are you reading this? I LOVE this set! Im begging you to please make more!) and is stamped on the frame from Fillable Frames.  I did add some ribbon but refrained from making any type of bow whatsoever (giving myself a pat on the back here).

And here's what the tag inside looks like.  It's from Stampin UP! Bigz Two Tags that I received as a gift from my SIL (thanks again Sharilyn!).  I don't know if you can tell but the gift card is from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.  This is NOT what the coach is getting, he's getting one from Sports Authority.  I just needed something to take the picture with.  I wouldn't ruin my masculine card by giving him tea, LOL!

As always thank you so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate all your kind comments. And if anyone is out there who doesn't have a blog yet but wants to, just DO it. RIGHT NOW! ;o>

  3. Nadine, this is a great project! I struggle with masculine too but you did a nice job. You used ribbon but not in a "girly" way. Way to go!
