Did any of you, like me make a new years resolution to get into shape?
Now's the time.
This week's challenge is to use shapes ie" shaped card, sponging shape negative, use dies, punches or trace around household items.
I decided to make a couple of onesie cards for the challenge:
A girl onesie using Rustic Cream cardstock and PTI's Beautiful Butterflies stamp set. Sentiment is from Hanging Out.
And here's a boy onesie. I got the idea from an Etsy seller here. So if you'd like to buy a real heartthrob onesie please check her out! The heart and 'throb' were done on my computer and the 'pulse' beneath it is from Grunge Me.
Im entering these cards into the following challenges:
The Outlawz CAS April 8th challenge: Make a shape card
The Pink Elephant TPE142 challege - Clean and Simple
Simon Says Stamp! challenge - Use your favorite tool! Of course my Cuttlebug is my favorite tool! Use it all.the.time!
Yesterday the in-fighting got so bad at my house that I decided to take the kids 'holoholo' (to go out). We ended up going to Kawainui Marsh in Kailua and to Punchbowl's National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Before heading out we went to our friends house to borrow a fishing pole because I refused to buy one for Jacob since we've never fished before. An hour or so later, we were on our way!

We didn't get very far into Kawainui Marsh because the kids wanted to start fishing at the first pond we came to. Unfortunately there are a LOT of ducks there and they kept stealing the bait right off the hook.
| Teia feeding the ducks. She got scared when they all started swarming her |
It was our fault though since we started off by feeding them some bread first. Note to self, fish first THEN feed the ducks. They kept following us around expecting a handout. Jacob did manage to catch a couple of fish. They were very small so I told him to throw it back into the water.
My camera battery died when I got to Punchbowl so I didn't get any pictures but Jacob did take a couple with his iTouch. That was my first visit there and I found it a very peaceful, serene area.
Hope you're enjoying your Easter day with your family and thanks for stopping by!

Aww!! These are so cute! A wonderful idea and so adorable!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to take the kids out for an excursion. Never been to Kawainui Marsh, but I have been to Punchbowl and yes it's really beautiful and serene there. I could stay there for hours and not get tired of it. TFS the lovely pictures!
Happy Easter!!

ReplyDeleteThe onesies are perfect! I love the heartthrob one - very cool. and I totally get what you mean about the infighting between the kids. Some days I really want to just bang some heads together to get them to stop (I don't, of course.) I usually have a few tricks up my sleeve to contain it.
