The Outlawz CAS Challenge: Interactive

There's a new challenge on at The Outlawz CAS group: create a CAS interactive card. When I learned about the challenge, I knew I wanted to use my new zipper dies from Papertrey Ink. These dies are fabulously easy to use! Love them and l have lots of ideas swirling around for cards and layouts. Here's a link to Nichole Heady's blog with a short video on how to use it.

The sentiments says "Let's get together" and see that little arrow on the card? It says "pull here" and when you do:

It reveals the second part of the sentiment "it's been too long". I wasn't going to actually pull the tab but DD got 'curious' and started yanking on it before I could stop her. So now I have before and after pictures to show you, lol.

This is what the panels look like before final assembly. A tip for those using the dies: I embossed (instead of die-cutting) the bottom yellow layer cs so I could see where to stamp the second sentiment. In Nichole's video she uses a ruler and pencil to mark where the sentiment should go but I thought it was easier to just emboss it.

Im also submitting this card to CR84FN50 Color Challenge: Pink, Orange, and Yellow.

Please head on over to the The Outlawz challenge forum and participate in this week's CAS challenge. I'd love to see you there!

  3. You always have the coolest cards and crafting tools!! I love this one, such a cute idea for that zipper peek-a-boo for the sentiment. And I think your idea of embossing is cool, it shows the negative (or is that positive?) side of the die.
    Cute idea!!
    Have a great weekend!
