Fabulous Day

Hi everyone! This morning after taking my daughter to school I came home to some ducks outside my front door, lol! We have a pond in the golf course behind the house but the ducks usually just fly overhead and do not land on this side. So I was quite surprised to see them. I ran inside and grabbed my camera:


 Here's my dog Apollo watching them sniff around his yard! 


Well I do have a card to share, lol! On today's card, I decided to use my PTI Simple Sunflower that I bought last month and hadn't seen any love yet.


I stamped the sunflowers in a couple of different shades of yellow and orange Memento ink and then shaded with Copics. Sentiment is from Signature Greetings. I think the sentiment allows this card to be used for lots of different occasions.

    love that sunflower card, that is just pretty... I need to look for a digi site where I can download some flowers or plants too... I would like to do some CAS cards too...

    What a pretty and eye-popping card. The flowers are gorgeous. Wonder what was going thru Apollo's mind seeing the duckies in HIS yard. Awesome pix. Have a great week.

    Beautiful card, Nadine. We must be thinking in the same lines because I die cut several of these sunflowers the other day. Now I just need to get them stamped and on to some cards.

    Nice Apollo - he is not chasing the ducks away but I bet he is thinking "what are they doing in MY yard?"

    This is such a beautiful card, and a great take on the color challenge, as well as the Paper Dolls challenge. I don't use those sunflowers enough--they are really beautiful in those colors, and with the vine die--eek. I am wondering if your dog is hungry, the way he is eying those ducks!

    So pretty! I've always like the technique of using Copics to add dimension to flowers. I just haven't tried it yet. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to have to CASE your card. It would be great to make a set to give as gifts. Thanks for playing along with the Paper Dolls challenge.
