I was inspired to make this card from an online class I joined: Clean and Simple Card Making. I must confess that I struggle with the CAS style. It's MUCH harder than it looks, lol! I've found that you really must have a good design to make this style work. And card design is something that I struggle with all the time! The online class had a ton of tips and lots of examples, so Im glad that I joined.
Im entering this card into the following challenges:
CPS 5th Anniversary Day 3: Sketch #54
Moxie Fab's Cutting and Trimming Challenge: Make a project that has been cut or trimmed in an innovative way. I used my Fiskars trimmer to cut a square shape around the flowers while making sure that some of the leaves extended past the cut. I then used my Cutterbee scissors to trim away the excess.
The Outlawz Sunday CAS Challenge: Melting Pot challenge. Mix at least 4 things on a CAS card. My items are the stamped image, Prismacolor pencils (used to color the image), Atyou Spica pen to add a subtle shimmer (hard to tell from the pic but it's definitely there IRL!) and my Linen and Canvas Impression Plate from PTI to give the focal image a bit of definition from the white card base.

ReplyDeleteNadine, your coloring is just so beautiful and it should remain the focal point and not buried with too many embellishments. This is an elegant card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous CAS design! I adore your shading and use of that linen impression plate (I have a soft spot for it!)
