CPS 5th Anniversary: Day 10

Back with another card for CPS's 5th Anniversary challenges. This sketch was a hard one for me, I couldn't figure out what to do with the long panel on the right side. Finally decided a bit of gold cording on black cardstock would work out and here it is!


Image is from Sister Stamps: Firecrackers which I bought some time ago, but only colored up now. Fun! Fun! Love the hanging firecrackers and how the little girl has her ears covered.


It reminds me of old times at New Years Eve when it would sound like a war zone. Then afterwards cleaning up all the bits of red paper from the street and sidewalk.  Everybody would grab a broom and get busy. Ahhh, memories! Now Im usually asleep when the New Year is ringing in, lol!

    I followed you from The Outlawz and totally love this card. I have had a look around and love the simplicity of all of your work. I am personally not a big embellisher and so appreciate the simple things in life and it shows up in my craft work too. I have always felt that too much embellishment takes away from the art work. I am now a follower.:)S
